Do you know where you are going?

Everyone wants to be wealthy.

The problem I see more often than any other is that the majority of normal investors skip the first step in the process of wealth building completely.

People want to know what to invest in before thinking through what they’re investing for.

Without a deep understanding of the ‘why’ when investing it is utterly difficult to figure out the ‘what’ or ‘where’ to put your money.

My experience when talking to friends and colleagues has taught me that most people assume they need help with portfolio management — and many of them do — but most are really in need of financial advice to help figure out how to get from where they are to where they would like to be with as little stress as possible.

What’s your idea of personal fulfilment?

Can you sketch out your destination? And in order to create a map to get there, you have to know where that destination is.

Do you have an answer to the question ‘Grow my Net Worth for the sake of what?’

Could it make a difference to first spend ample time on understanding what fulfilment means to you?

I dare say, in our society right now the vast majority of the human population has no idea. They don’t know what their goal is. They don’t have a goal. They’re being buffeted around by circumstance. And, of course, they end up wherever the wind blows them. And then wonder, “How’d I get here?”

If you know, then you are already way ahead of the vast majority.

You have a clear edge (people are often desperately searching for an edge in investing – here you go).

Because your sense of purpose enables you to focus your efforts on what matters most, compelling you to take risks, push forward regardless of the odds or obstacles, and to stay the course during market volatilities.

And let’s not waste too much time or make too many mistakes before the realization kicks in that money is just a means, not an end!

How will you measure your life?

  1. Hi Andy,

I started blogging when I was “searching” the true purpose of life. I started reading, writing and investing intensively, and often becoming very philosophical. I attain inner peace, but still something is missing.

Since late 2015, out of curiosity, I began to seek/read the most popular book/person in history of mankind. I finally find the true purpose of life. Not just spiritual well-being as many people have though? but practical teachings in life with real supernatural miracles daily/weekly taking place and a renewed mind and a new heart.

    • Hi Rolf,

Thanks for sharing your experience on finding fulfillment. It shows, never settle for that “easy why” that comes to mind first, but keep on looking for that “hard but real why”.
Our sub-conscious mind can be miraculous. As long as we feed it with the right thoughts, one day it will point us in the right direction. We might call that “luck”, “coincidence” or also “curiosity”.
Enjoy your new heart and renewed mind.
